Realm Racing on the Gas in Timmins Ontario

Realm Racing on the Gas in Timmins Ontario

Mar 14, 2017

The snow dump in Timmins, Ontario was the site for CSRA Rounds 7 and 8. There’s never a shortage of snow for the races in this northern community. Held during snowmobile week it’s always one of the highlights of the week. Although the weather was a frosty -37°C in the morning at least the sun was shining and the lack of wind made it bearable. The temperatures quickly rose to – 8°C with conditions ideal for racing our Polaris snowmobiles. Both our riders minor injuries had healed and they looked forward to racing this event. Bailey Riders on the Top of the Podium 6 times in Timmins

Mar 10, 2017

After weeks of record breaking mild temperatures, we arrived in Timmins for the Eclipse Financial Snowcross Pro Challenge. We woke up to a -35 degree day on Saturday, thankfully the sun was out and temps steadily rose to -14 by mid-afternoon. This is always a great event, promoted in large by former Pro Woman Champ Angela Vacchino. The CSRA crew had their hands full turning the city snow dump into a Snowcross track for the racers. In the end we had an awesome track, tight enough that the crowd could see the entire race but challenging enough to keep the racing intense.   Full...

Podiums for Crapo and Roy in Timmins

Mar 7, 2017

After a forced two-week break due to mild weather and lack of snow, which saw the February 25th night races cancelled in Barrie, ON, the Rockstar Energy Drink CSRA Snowcross Championships resumed for Round 5 of the title hunt this past weekend in Timmins, ON. Being much farther north, Timmins greeted the snowcross rivals with plenty of snow and frigid temperatures that hovered as low as -32°C and no higher than -12°, providing challenging yet perfect winter racing conditions. Realm Racing visits Georgian Downs, Innisfil Ontario

Realm Racing visits Georgian Downs, Innisfil Ontario

Mar 1, 2017

Georgian Downs in Innisfil, Ontario was the site for CSRA Rounds 5 and 6. It’s a great venue that allows fans the opportunity to watch either inside behind the glass staying comfy and warm, or venture out into the cold to battle the elements and smell the exhaust fumes as sleds pass by. This past weekend’s unseasonably warm temperatures, sunshine and blue skies were a welcomed treat except for the deteriorating snow conditions. With daytime highs of 8°C the CSRA had to work hard to keep the track in decent shape. Both our riders sustained minor injuries, Meghan wore her bars in the chest knocking the wind out of her, and Lindsey landed hard twisting her ankle while riding under some rough track conditions. The girls continued to push through the minor inconveniences and finish all of their races this weekend. Saturday’s racing during the first heat of Junior Girls had Meghan fighting hard for a top 5 spot for the entire race and narrowly missing it finishing up 6th while Lindsey followed up close behind in 7th.   Full...

Team EC Williams Racing travelled to Georgian Downs

Feb 27, 2017

The team of EC Williams Racing travelled to Georgian Downs in Innisfil for the most recent race event with the CSRA this past weekend. Georgian Downs always promises to be a great event and once again this year did not disappoint. Erik and Christian always love the opportunity to ride in front of their friends and family at one of their home town events. Thanks to everyone who were able to make it out. It was great to see you there! Both boys were absolutely stoked to be back on their sleds racing in conjunction with Bailey Motorsports. If you aren’t familiar with their team they are a really great family based team with a love for the sport of snow cross and also a really great positive team to have our young sons associated with. Team McCoy’s 15 Podium finishes in 2 weekends

Feb 26, 2017

The season has been going very well for the team so far and we have had a few events since the last update. On Feb 4th-5th we were in Sault St Marie for the Highland Ford Can/Am Cup. The track was at the “Yard” right beside the water under the bridge going to the USA. The track was originally a fast flat track that soon turned into a very difficult track with lots of holes and huge lips for jumps. Unfortunately a few fellow riders did get injured this weekend, but fortunately our boys came out ok. In the Pro X class Taylor took a 2nd on Saturday and a 1st on Sunday overall boosting him up in the points. In the Pro Lite class Taylor took a 2nd on Saturday and had a tough time on Sunday trying to make top 3 but came in 4th.   Full...

Bailey Barrie Race Weekend

Mother Nature spoiled us this weekend, sunshine and temperatures well above freezing both days, making it feel like spring conditions, not what you would expect this time of year. We arrived at Georgian Down in Barrie early Friday afternoon, set up the pits and put the final touches on our Ski Doo RS sleds and the Yeti Snowbikes. All are dialed in, ready for our riders to battle all weekend long in front what is our Home Town crowd. Huge crowds were on hand this weekend to witness some intense racing, thanks to the title sponsors Royal Distributing and St. Onge Recreation for helping support the CSRA this weekend and allow them to truck in all the snow they needed to pull off the races.   Full...
